What should I choose to work with Civil Process Direct?

CPD has a 35 year history of providing superior legal support services to attorneys and law firms  in the Dallas Metroplex, throughout Texas, and across the United States.  Our office personnel and process servers are registered and certified through the Judicial Branch Certification Commission to deliver legal process and are fluent in the rules and procedures of family and civil process serving.  Civil Process Direct utilizes our trusted network of affiliate process servers to handle out of state service of process.  Our company carries extensive errors and omissions insurance to protect against any oversights. We are a full service legal support company that provides process service, courthouse filings, address location, stake out service,  courthouse research, and mobile notary services.

How quickly is work performed?

Once a paper is received for service, we quickly enter it into our tracking system and assign it to a process server. Our servers will either pick up the document from our office or be emailed a copy depending on the service urgency. Generally, all process is first attempted within 24-48 hours of receipt. If your case has a hearing date it will be attempted more frequently to ensure the party is served with proper notice. We also provide rush services at an additional cost. Rush service guarantees at least one service attempt is made on the same day we receive it.

How many service attempts do you provide?

Our process servers will make a reasonable amount of attempts at no additional charge at the first provided address. We always attempt to achieve direct personal service when possible. There is an additional charge for new addresses and address location service. Our office staff will request approval before additional charges are billed.

What happens when a party is avoiding service?

While personal service is always the goal, some parties avoid service or cannot be found. If a personal is avoiding personal service, we can stake out at their work or residence until they can be served. Additionally, we can prepare a Motion for Alternative Service and present the order for a judge's signature. Once the Order Granting Motion for Alternative Service is signed, it will allow our process server to post the document at a verified address. There are additional methods of legal alternative service, such as certified mail, publication, and email that may be available to your case. Contact us to find out more.

Do you provide same day, rush service?

CPD offers same day rush services to meet the special circumstances of your case. Rush process services are available upon request at additional costs. Contact us to go over the details.

Why should I use a private process server instead of the constable?

We are a privately owned company that takes pride in our work. We strive in providing exceptional service and fair pricing. The constable's office receives a heavy volume of work and is usually not capable of giving your case the special attention it deserves. By using private process servers, you can eliminate the long delays and poor service that a constable's office may provide.
